| Peace Proposals for Iraq. In the post-war situation which continues causing a humanitarian catastrophe in Iraq here is one peace proposal which appears to have a chance of success. 1) The immediate creation of Eur-Asian peace force. Suggested members: China, Russia, India. Possibly also Vietnam, Iran, Syria, Ukraine and some other Eur-Asian countries.. 2) Eur-Asian peace force provides the suffering population with food and water and demands the immediate stop of all hostilities by all parties. 3) Under the mandate of the UN resolution 1441 the Eur-Asian peace, this coalition of the peace-willing, preserves the peace without the need for any further approvals of the UN Security Council. 4) The Eur-Asian peace force organizes and supervises free elections in Iraq. 5) The Eur-Asian peace force makes sure that all commercial and financial obligations and agreements made by all previous Iraqi administrations are respected. 6) Only a Eur-Asian peace force can assure the stability of Iraq and of other Eur-Asian countries. External forces should not be allowed to create instability and to interfere with Eur-Asian politics. 7) No invaders, no forces from outside of the Eur-Asian region should be allowed to profit from the war and/or to exploit the natural resources and economies of the Eur-Asian nations. If asked, for humanitarian reasons and in order to maintain neutrality and objectivity, the Ombudsman International is prepared to take the direct command of any such international peace forces and/or take over the temporary administration of Iraq. |
United States Terrorism in Iraq? Two bomb attacks in August 2003 throw a shadow of suspicions on the United States occupational forces in Iraq. 1) The Bomb attack against the United Nations building in Baghdad in which died numerous United Nations employees, inclusive Sergio Vieira de Mello, but no U.S. citizens. The United States was the party which was the most opposed to the presence of the United Nations officials in Iraq, and had the greatest interest to destroy the building and to silence and murder objective, neutral, United Nations observers. 2) The murder of the Shiite leader (Ayatollah Mohammed Baqir al-Hakim) at the end of August 2003 throws a second shadow of doubt and suspicion over the United States occupiers. They have tried for a long time to split and decapitate the Shiite forces and replace them with their own puppets, i.e. in Hungary trained agents. The United States ocuupational forces were the ones who have profited the most from both of the above mentioned terror acts. We demand an objective investigation of these terror acts by a neutral investigative body, without any involvement or any influence of the United States and their allies. |

| The above scenario is one of many possible
alternatives. Apart from the Eur-Asian united peace force other forces are possible; the
French Commonwealth, the Arab League... Such peace missions and peaceful occupation are
envisioned in UN resolution 1441. A war of occupation, of theft and the installation of
puppet regimes are contrary to the resolution and are highly destabilizing. Recent satellite investigations indicate that Iraq may have the largest oil reserves in the world, several times larger than those of Saudi Arabia. Is this the real reason for the invasion and for the attempt to install a puppet regime? |
